• Richard Ryder

    Richard Ryder, a Toronto native, studied acting at The Toronto High School for the Performing Arts and quickly became one of the youngest cast members of Toronto’s improvisational theatre company, Theatresports. He continued to go onto Toronto’s famed Second City to study improv. In the late 90s, he took his finely honed ability to quickly think on his feet into the world of stand up comedy.

    He has since been a regular performer at such comedy clubs as Yuk Yuks, The Laugh Resort, ALTdotComedy Lounge and Toronto’s longest running comedy room, Spirits Open Mic Night. Richard has also produced his own successful open mic nights, “Richard Ryder’s Big Fat Comedy Show”, “The Eat Me Drink Me Comedy Lounge” and “The Upstairs Show”. Richard’s film credits include “It Takes Two”, “Undercover Brother”, “Disney’s The Scream Team” and “Zoe Busiek, Wild Card”. Richard has also had numerous television appearances, including two comedy specials, “Oot & Aboot at Yuk’s” and “The Real Queen Of Comedy”, as well as many advertising campaigns.
