Omid Djalili is an award-winning British-Iranian actor and comedian. He has been acclaimed as one of Britain’s freshest, funniest and most original comics.

He has been a festival favourite at the Edinburgh Fringe Festivals with a string of sell-out shows. In 2005, his show ‘No Agenda’ had record breaking sales of 16,500; this show then transferred to a total sell-out nationwide 40 date tour, including 2 shows at the London Palladium in 2006.

Omid has performed in many countries including Australia, Austria, the USA, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Slovakia and most recently he performed in Qatar for the emir where he shared a stage with Bill Clinton.

He has been featured in films including ‘The Mummy’, ‘Gladiator’, ‘Spy Game’, ‘Modigliani’, 'Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow', 'Casanova', ‘Alien Autopsy’,, ‘Over The Hedge’ and will soon be seen in 'The Allotment' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean III'. On television, he co-starred with Whoppi Goldberg in the sitcom, ‘Whoopi’ which ran for two years. In June 2004 he recorded an HBO special in New York, the first British comic to do one since Eddie Izzard. He also did two seasons of ‘Small Potatoes’ on Channel 4 in the UK. Omid will be doing his own series, ‘The Omid Djalili Show’ which will feature on BBC1 later this year.
