Rachael Parenta

Rachael Parenta, a native to New Jersey, began her comedy career in Portland, OR several months prior to breaking her ankle. Rachael had attempted to break into her 3rd floor apartment. She failed, and spent the next five months on crutches. But that shining moment didn't stop this little dynamo. In 2002 she placed 3rd in the Portland Comedy Challenge and hobbled all over the Northwest bringing laughter to small towns and big cities.  She's had the opportunity to perform at Harvey's Comedy Club, The Seattle Comedy Underground with the Ha Ha Sisterhood and LA's famed Comedy Store.

Rachael's comedy is high energy and engaging. Audiences can't help but watch her on stage.  Ms. Parenta's perspective gives subjects such as family, pop culture, dating, and disproportionately small-handed men an absurd bent. She has also been known to break out the guitar and serenade crowds with original songs about the benefits of alcohol, how her apartment manager is the devil, and how Japan was sized for her.

The future looks bright for this neurotic comic (Wait! is that redundant?). For one thing She's walking again. You can see her bipedal skills at work as the title character in the soon to be released film Kelly D: Afterlife Consultant.  Her comedy as been featured in Time Out New York and on Radio Free New York.
